SLC Conversion — Risk Disclosure & Terms
Read this before converting USDC to SLC. Version 1.0 — effective 21 September 2026.
Risk warning — don’t convert unless you’re prepared to lose all the value you convert. SLC is a high-risk crypto-asset. You are unlikely to be protected if something goes wrong, and you should not expect any profit. Take two minutes to make sure you understand the risks below.
1. What converting means
If you convert, you exchange USDC (a stable-value asset) for SLC (a volatile crypto-asset). Converting is entirely optional. You do not need to convert to use the platform or to be paid — you are paid for your work in USDC (see the Payout & Rewards Terms).
2. Before you can convert
Because SLC is a high-risk crypto-asset, and to meet UK and EU rules, before your conversion completes you will be asked to:
read this disclosure and the summary risk warning;
answer a few short questions so we can check that converting is appropriate for you (an “appropriateness assessment”); and
if this is your first conversion, wait through a 24-hour “cooling-off” period, so you have time to reconsider.
You then confirm you understand and accept the risks. We keep a timestamped record of your answers and your confirmation.
3. SLC is a utility token — not an investment
SLC is a utility token for use within the Silencio ecosystem. It does not represent shares, ownership, or any stake in Silencio, Blocksound, or any entity.
SLC gives no right to profit, dividends, revenue, interest, or any economic return, and you should have no expectation of profit from holding or converting it.
SLC is not a security or investment product, and nothing here is an offer of a security or a solicitation to invest. We do not give financial, investment, legal or tax advice.
4. You can lose everything
SLC’s value is highly volatile and can fall — including to zero. Converting stable USDC into SLC puts that value at risk.
Only convert value you are fully prepared to lose. Secondary-market prices are outside Silencio’s control and may not reflect any usable value.
5. The earning boost is not a financial return
Holding SLC can raise your platform “earning boost.” The boost pays out in in-app Coins (raffle tickets) — not in money, USDC, or more SLC. It is a loyalty feature, not interest, yield, or an investment return, and it does not guarantee you any money.
6. Who provides SLC and the conversion
SLC, and the conversion service, are provided by the Blocksound Foundation / Blocksound TokenCo (BVI) Ltd under their terms, the SLC white paper and the Risks page. Silencio provides the interface.
7. Where conversion is available
Conversion is available only where permitted by law and by the SLC eligibility rules. It is blocked in prohibited jurisdictions and for restricted territories, and is not available to US persons. In the UK and EU it is available subject to the steps in section 2 and applicable financial-promotion rules. You are responsible for ensuring your participation is lawful where you live.
8. Tax
Converting may be a taxable event, and holding or disposing of SLC may have tax consequences. You are solely responsible for your taxes and any reporting; we may report where legally required.
9. Conversions are final
Once submitted (and after any cooling-off period), a conversion cannot be canceled or reversed by Silencio. Make sure you intend to convert before you confirm.
10. Your acknowledgement
Before converting, you confirm that: you have read this disclosure and the risk warning; you understand SLC is a volatile utility token, not an investment, and its value can fall to zero; you are converting voluntarily and not in expectation of profit; and you accept the risks. We keep a timestamped record of this acknowledgement and of your appropriateness answers.
11. Complaints and contact
If something goes wrong, contact privacy@silencio.network (platform matters) or the official Blocksound channels (SLC/token). You may also have rights under local law.
