Silencio Voice AI – Participation Terms

Governs use of the Silencio Voice AI platform. First effective 1 September 2025; this version (2.0) effective 21 September 2026.

1. Who these terms are between

These Participation Terms (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Silencio Voice AI platform (the “Platform”), operated by Silencio Network LLC (“Silencio”, “we”). The Platform lets you voluntarily submit voice and speech recordings and related data so they can be used to train, validate, test and commercialise AI and machine-learning models. These Terms sit alongside our General Terms & Conditions and our Platform Privacy Policy (together, the “Core Terms”); if there is a conflict about the Platform, these Terms and the Platform Privacy Policy govern for Voice Data.

The version you agreed to. This document is the current version. The exact version of these terms that you accepted, and the date you accepted it, are recorded in your account. Earlier contributors accepted earlier versions; updating this document does not change what you already agreed to, and where a change materially expands how your data is used we ask for fresh consent before that new use begins.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement.

  • You may take part only where it is lawful in your location.

  • We may verify your age and identity (including through our KYC checks at payout), and may suspend accounts we believe belong to minors.

  • Access is a privilege, not a right, and may be suspended or ended at any time.

3. This is not employment

You are not an employee, worker, contractor, agent or partner of Silencio or its customers. Taking part is voluntary; we do not guarantee work, pay, or continued access; you keep full control over whether and when you take part. These Terms are intended to be consistent with EU worker-classification law, including Directives (EU) 2019/1152 and (EU) 2021/2167.

4. Your recordings and quality

You may submit voice recordings, metadata and related content (“Voice Data”) only through approved workflows. All Voice Data may be checked automatically and by people. We are not obliged to accept, keep, or pay for data that fails our quality standards, and synthetic, manipulated or fraudulent submissions lead to disqualification and a ban.

5. Rights you give us (intellectual property)

By submitting Voice Data you irrevocably assign to Silencio all rights in that Voice Data, worldwide, for the full term of those rights. Where an assignment is not legally possible, you grant Silencio a perpetual, exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable licence to use, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, distribute, commercialise and otherwise exploit the Voice Data for any purpose. You waive moral rights to the maximum extent permitted by law. We may pseudonymise, aggregate, transform or combine Voice Data with other data.

Your data-protection rights are unaffected. Assigning intellectual-property rights does not waive or reduce your rights under data-protection law (such as the right to withdraw consent, to object, or to erasure), which continue to apply.

6. Data protection, privacy and consent

Privacy Policy. All processing of personal data is governed by our Platform Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Explicit consent. By submitting Voice Data you give explicit, informed and freely-given consent to the collection, recording, storage, processing, analysis, use, sharing and commercialisation of your Voice Data and related personal data for the purposes in these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Biometric / special-category data. You explicitly consent to your voice being processed as biometric data, including to train AI that can recognise or synthesise speech and voices.

Ethnicity and emotion data. Providing your ethnicity is optional; if you do, you give a separate explicit consent to processing that special-category data. You also consent to emotion labels being attached to your recordings and used to train models.

Sensitive content and acceptable use. What you say can itself reveal sensitive information; to the extent any special-category content is captured, your explicit consent covers it, and we screen or redact where practical. We restrict customers from using the data for purposes prohibited or restricted under the EU AI Act (for example emotion inference in workplace or education settings, or biometric categorisation that infers sensitive traits).

Consent to commercialisation is required to use the Platform. The Platform exists to collect and sell voice data. The consents to record, to biometric processing, and to commercialisation/sale are therefore necessary to take part. If you do not wish to give them, please do not use the Platform; you can withdraw at any time and stop using it.

Not anonymous. You understand your voice is personal data that can identify you and is not anonymous. We apply pseudonymisation and other safeguards, but we do not represent that Voice Data is anonymised.

Sharing and sale. You consent to Silencio sharing and licensing/selling Voice Data and derived datasets to customers, affiliates, partners and service providers worldwide for AI training, validation, research and commercial use, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Cross-border. You acknowledge data may be processed outside your country under appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).

On-chain consent. Your consent actions are recorded on-chain (a tamper-proof log of what you authorised and when). Because that record cannot be altered, please only consent to what you agree to.

Withdrawal. You may withdraw consent at any time via the Platform or by emailing privacy@silencio.network. Withdrawal applies going forward: we delete your source recordings and remove them from future sale, and make reasonable efforts to suppress data downstream. It does not reverse processing already carried out, and complete deletion from an already-trained model may not be technically possible (subject to Art. 17(3) GDPR). Withdrawal does not create a right to payment, and does not reduce your other data-protection rights.

US residents. You may exercise “Do Not Sell or Share” and “Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information” rights as described in the Privacy Policy.

Your promises. You confirm that: the voice is your own; you have any permissions needed for any other identifiable person in a recording; you do not submit any minor’s Voice Data; your recordings do not contain third-party copyrighted material (such as music or copyrighted scripts); and you will avoid including sensitive personal information (for example about health, beliefs, politics or sex life) or other people’s identifiable details.

7. Payments and rewards

Any reward is conditional on: passing quality checks; a customer approving and purchasing the data; correct technical submission; and compliance with these Terms. We may modify, delay, reduce, suspend or cancel rewards. You are responsible for providing a correct wallet address; we are not liable for funds lost to wrong addresses or unsupported networks. Referral rewards are subject to the same conditions.

USDC vs SLC. You are paid for your work in USDC. SLC is a separate token (airdrop/raffle/optional conversion) provided by Blocksound and has different rules and country restrictions; being ineligible for SLC does not affect your USDC payment for accepted data. Full details are in the Payout & Rewards Terms.

8. Sanctions, AML and screening

You confirm you are not located in, resident in, or subject to comprehensive sanctions, and are not on any sanctions list (e.g. US OFAC SDN, EU, UK, UN). You agree we may run identity (KYC), sanctions, and wallet screening at any time, and may suspend access, withhold or reverse payments, or freeze participation to comply with AML, sanctions or export-control law. No rewards are paid where prohibited.

9. Taxes

You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes on rewards. We do not withhold taxes or give tax advice, except where we are legally required to report or withhold.

10. Suspension, ban and deletion

We may suspend or close accounts, delete submitted data, revoke rewards, or restrict future participation for policy breaches, quality abuse, fraud, or legal/compliance reasons.

11. Disclaimers and liability

The Platform is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the greater of USD $100 or rewards earned in the prior three months. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law — including the mandatory rights of consumers.

12. Governing law, disputes and consumer rights

Governing law. These Terms are governed by Delaware law, and disputes are resolved by arbitration as set out in the Core Terms.

EU/UK consumers. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under the mandatory law of your home country, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts where that law gives you the right. The arbitration and class-action-waiver provisions do not apply to you to the extent your local mandatory law prohibits them.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms and will notify you of material changes. Where a change materially expands how your Voice Data is used, we will seek fresh consent before that new use begins. Continued participation after non-material changes means you accept them.
