The rules for using Silencio and contributing data. New page — effective 21 September 2026.
By using the Platform you agree to these rules. They sit alongside the Participation Terms and Terms of Service. Breaking them can lead to removal of content, suspension or closure of your account, and forfeiture of unpaid rewards.
When you record
Record only your own voice, unless every other person in the recording is a consenting, registered Silencio user aged 18 or older.
No minors. Do not record anyone under 18, and do not use Silencio if you are under 18.
No sensitive personal information. Do not say names, addresses, phone numbers, financial details, health information, government IDs, passwords, or other personal data — yours or anyone else’s.
No third-party copyrighted content (for example, reading out songs, scripts, or articles you don’t own the rights to), unless the opportunity specifically allows it.
Real audio only. No synthetic, AI-generated, manipulated, or fraudulent audio. No recordings of recordings.
General conduct
One account per person. Do not create multiple or fake accounts.
No illegal, hateful, harassing, or abusive content.
No manipulation of opportunities, rewards, raffles, referrals, or boosts, including bots, scripts, or automated activity.
Be truthful in your profile and metadata (age, gender, country, languages). This data is part of what we sell, and false data can lead to removal.
What happens if you break these rules
We may remove affected recordings, suspend or close your account, withhold or reverse rewards, and where required report unlawful activity. Data already lawfully licensed to a customer cannot be recalled.
